Exports of Ukrainian Goods to Israel Grew by 14% in 2021

For ten months of 2021, the export of goods from Ukraine to Israel increased by 14%, and imports — by 12%

This was stated by the head of the State service Vladyslava Mahaletska during a conversation with the ambassador of the State of Israel to Ukraine, Michael.

"I am convinced that we have every opportunity to intensify trade relations further next year. We must make every effort to make the free trade zone work one hundred percent," noted Vladyslava Mahaletska.

In her opinion, Ukraine has every chance of becoming a platform for creating new industries with Israeli, European, and Ukrainian capital, which will focus on the production of products for the Israel and EU markets. In the future, this can improve the structure of Ukrainian exports by reducing the share of raw materials in it.

According to her, with the beginning of the free trade zone, a zero rate of duty is immediately established for fish, rapeseed and rapeseed oils, cooked and canned vegetables, and a zero rate within quotas — for poultry meat, milk, eggs, honey, wheat, and bakery products, wines.

"In the future, the list of goods will only increase, so Ukrainian exports to Israel will only grow. Thus, the assessment of the increase in trade turnover to the level of $2 billion is not just optimism, but reality," the head of the department noted.

She added that implementing new conditions for cooperation between the two countries also aims to increase Israel's investments in Ukraine.
