Ukrainian footballer and United24 platform ambassador Andriy Shevchenko started raising funds to restore the children's football stadium in Irpin, which was destroyed by the war.
"I came to this stadium destroyed by shells and saw children running around the field, ignoring the big black funnels with the ball. The enemy managed to destroy the football ground, but not our children's passion for their favourite game. Then I realized that I have to restore this stadium, and we will definitely do it. The first €150.000 out of 600.000 that are needed, we managed to raise thanks to the Milan club," Shevchenko.
Russian shells damaged the stadium in March: the stands, administrative offices and the field were destroyed entirely.
We remind you that boxer Oleksandr Usyk is also the Unoted24 ambassador.
