The Office of the prosecutor general of Ukraine, the National police and the National information bureau have published current statistics on Russian abuse against Ukrainian children from February 24, 2022, to June 22, 2023.
- 490 people killed;
- 594 children disappeared;
- 1.028 wounded;
- 19.499 were deported.
The information is incomplete, as it is impossible to conduct a full-fledged analysis on the territory of Ukraine, where hostilities are currently taking place.
Most children were affected in the following regions:
- Donetsk — 466;
- Kharkiv — 284;
- Kyiv — 129;
- Kherson — 113;
- Zaporizhzhia — 91;
- Mykolaiv — 89;
- Dnipro — 81;
- Chernihiv — 71;
- Luhansk — 67.
During this time, Ukraine managed to find 13.892 children and return 373. The work continues.
