On February 17, minister of foreign affairs Dmytro Kuleba and British secretary of state for foreign and commonwealth affairs Liz Truss held an online briefing. During the conference, Liz Truss made a statement:
"When the prime minister visited Kyiv earlier this month, he announced an allocation of 88 million to support Ukrainian democracy and energy independence. I can announce the next component of our support: increasing our funding for these projects to £100 million."
First of all, the tranche will be directed to the energy protection of Ukraine and independence from external energy supplies.
"We, the United Kingdom, are very proud to be at the forefront of Ukraine's support," added Liz Truss.
