On December 20, Finnish president Sauli Niinisto announced the allocation of military equipment to strengthen the defence capability of Ukraine. This is Finland's 11th aid package for Ukraine, costing €28.8 million. Finland will also continue to participate in the UK military education program for Ukrainian soldiers. Finland will send another 20 instructors to train Ukrainians until 2023.
"The defensive operation of Ukraine is still ongoing, and the need for defence equipment is great. We will continue our support," said the defence minister of Finland Antti Kaikkonen.
Finland has allocated the total level of funds to strengthen Ukraine's position on the battlefield is €189.2 million.
