£16 Mln for the Ukrainian Cyber Defense

Rishi Sunak announced the funding to protect Ukrainian critical digital structures and people

On May 18, Reuters reported Britain's decision to attract £16 million to strengthen Ukraine's national cyber security and ensure Ukraine's unimpeded counteroffensive. Other international partners will probably also join this contribution with £9 million of aid to Ukraine in the same field.

"Russia's appalling attacks on Ukraine are not limited to their barbaric land invasion, but also involve sickening attempts to attack their cyber infrastructure that provides vital services, from banking to energy supplies, to innocent Ukrainian people," Rishi Sunak said.

"This funding is critical to stopping those onslaughts, hardening Ukraine's cyber defences and increasing the country's ability to detect and disable the malware targeted at them," continued the minister.

Next week, a conference on the recover of Ukraine will be held in London. Rishi Sunak plans to call on businessmen and entrepreneurs to open their companies in Ukraine and thus invest in our economy. GT Invest will help you follow Mr Sunak's recommendations in Ukraine.

We remind you that the European Commission is developing a plan for the insurance of foreign business and investments in Ukraine.
