In addition to the army of heroes and the army of drones, an Army of recovery appeared in Ukraine. This is a socio-economic project to involve unemployed Ukrainians in the analysis of the consequences of the war. Thus, Ukraine solves 2 problems at once: unemployment and the ruins of buildings destroyed by the war. The first 3.314 people who have been registered in employment centres for the last 4 months are now helping to restore Ukraine and receive wages for this that exceed the subsistence level. As of today, ≈ $500,000 (₴18.3 million) has been paid to these wonderful people.
In the state budget of the Ukrainian compulsory social insurance fund, ≈ $4.200 million has been allocated in case of unemployment of Ukrainians. Thus, the Army of recovery will continue to operate in 2023.
