32 Years of Independent Ukraine

On August 24, the country of freedom celebrates 32 years since the signing of the Act of Independence of the state

Ukraine was born in V century AD. Its borders differed from those that we see on a modern map. Back then, these were the territories of several tribes an integral state, the Hetmanate, Cossacks state. In our history, there are princely dynasties that originated from the Rurikovichs and periods of fragmentation and division of our territories between the Commonwealth, Muscovy, and the USSR. On August 24, 1991, this came to an end: due to the all-Ukrainian popular vote, was held a referendum on secession from the USSR. Ukraine declared itself an independent state and Ukrainians an independent nation.

The last year and a half have been especially difficult for Ukrainians because we have to defend our freedom with blood. During the 547 days of the war, the Russians sent more than 100.000 missiles against the Ukrainians. However, Ukraine is alive and will live.

Glory to Ukraine! Glory to Heroes!
