On April 26, another 44 Ukrainians returned home: border guards, representatives of the National Guard, sailors and 2 civilians. This group also includes 2 men whose wives were also in Russian captivity until recently and returned home as part of previous exchanges.
"Among the released are the wounded who were tortured by the enemy in captivity," Andriy Yermak.
In total, during the war, the Coordination headquarters for the treatment of prisoners of war was able to return 2.238 people from Russian captivity, 140 of whom are civilians.
