According to World Bank president David Malpass, the war continues to destroy Ukraine's economy and humanitarian spheres. Therefore, the funds that were approved on December 20 for the transition to Ukraine were used to finance basic social services (salaries, pensions, allowances for minor children and covering communal restructuring).
David Malpass stressed that Russian military aggression continues to aggravate the situation in the structure of healthcare, energy and transport. $500 million of the total will be provided on loan terms.
