A New City-Resort for $3 Billion Near Odesa

The investment project called “Dunaya” was approved

In the south of the Odesa region, on a spit between the artificial lake Sasik and the Black sea, we will start implementing a large investment project called the Dunaya, which includes the construction of a resort city. It has already acquired the official foundation and state position thanks to the relevant order of the state administration.

This was reported by the assistant chairman of the state administration Yurii Dymchehlo on his Facebook page, having published the order of 29 December 2021 on the establishment of the state enterprise Dunaya. A 10 km promenade with hotels and casinos will be built on a virgin natural braid.

The project's initiators believe that the new city-resort will be able to make a worthy competition to Zatoka. Zatoka — is a famous tourist and recreational center in Ukraine, located 60 km from Odesa.

"All right, Zatoka, hold on. Ukrainian Bessarabia and Eastern Europe should receive a new powerful, modern, well-planned tourist center and resort town. It is also an object for large investments and job creation," commented Yurii Dymchehlo.

It is estimated that the investment will be between $2 billion and $3 billion. It will be possible to visit and relax in 3 years, in 2025.
