A Visit of Nauseda and Duda to Ukraine

On January 11, the presidents of Lithuania and Poland arrived in Kyiv: the Lublin agreement, the supply of "Leopard" and air defence

Today, the long-awaited presidents of Poland Andrzej Duda and Lithuania Gitanas Nauseda arrived in Kyiv. During a meeting with the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, a joint declaration was signed by the presidents of the Lublin Triangle.

"Today in Lviv, we – the Lublin Triangle, once again confirmed our unwavering devotion to the victory over the aggressor. We will be the only ones! Lithuania and Poland will continue to provide defence assistance to Ukraine," Gitanas Nauseda.

The presidents together paid tribute to the heroes of Ukraine who died in this war for freedom and, after the talks, held a briefing with journalists. Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the presidents for the comprehensive assistance that Ukraine receives from Lithuania and Poland.

During a press conference, Nausėda said that he had brought good news: Ukraine would receive air defence systems from Lithuania. In turn, Andrzej Duda said Leopard tanks would soon be sent to Ukraine.

"A company of Leopard tanks will be handed over to Ukraine as part of the creation of an international coalition. Such a solution already exists in Poland," Duda.

This is the first meeting of the presidents not in the capital but in Lviv. They were accompanied by the mayor of Lviv, Andrii Sadovyi.
