Accession of Ukraine to EU Sanctions Against ISIL and Al-Qaeda

Joining the sanctions also implies coordination with the EU of Ukraine's foreign and domestic policy regarding these groups/related organizations

Ukraine's decision was published in the Declaration of the EU High Representative and on the website of the European Council.

"On October 18, 2021, the Council of the EU adopted Decision 2021/18251. By the decision of the Council of the EU, the current restrictive measures were extended until October 31, 2022. The candidate countries are the Republic of Northern Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Albania, the European Free Trade Area countries Iceland and Liechtenstein, members of the European Economic Area, as well as Ukraine, the Republic of Moldova, Armenia, and Georgia has joined the decision of the EU Council.

On September 20, 2016, CFSP adopted Decision 2016/1693 to implement restrictive measures against ISIS, Al-Qaeda, and all individuals, groups, and institutions associated with them.
