USAID allocates $250 mln to support Ukraine's agricultural sector

On July 19, USAID representative Samantha Power arrived in Ukraine and, accompanied by US ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink, visited the port of Odesa. This port is part of the grain agreements, and Russia has pledged to refrain from attacking this port and its ships as part of the grain agreements. However, Russia broke its word, withdrew from the agreements, and shot the with missiles port.

According to ambassador Brink, the next day after Russia's move, USAID announced the provision of an additional $250 million to support Ukraine's agricultural sector. These funds are allocated from the Fund of the Agricultural Sustainability Initiative in Ukraine and are added to the already available $100 million.
