American “VR Capital Group” Invests €75 Million in Wind Farms in Ukraine

The American company "VR Capital Group" plans to build three wind farms in the Odesa region with a total capacity of the wind farm of 49,5 MW

The International asset management firm is one of the largest western investors in Ukraine.

The American company VR Capital Group announced its intentions to build three wind farms in the Odesa region and is ready to invest about €75 million in this project. The total capacity of the wind farm will be 49,5 MW.

Earlier, VR Capital Group announced the commissioning of the Dnister wind power plant (WPP) with a capacity of 40 MW. Also, within the framework of this project, 5 thousand trees were planted.

VR Capital Group president Richard Deitz noted that during the global pandemic, the company managed to complete the commissioning of the Dnister wind farm on time and within budget. This is a testament to the professionalism of VR Capital Group employees and partners.

According to him, Ukraine has enormous potential for the development of green energy on its territory and its role in the energy sector of Ukraine will only grow every year.

VR Capital Group was founded in 1999 by the ex-partner of Renaissance capital Richard Deitz. The company has offices in London, New York, Moscow, and Buenos Aires. Since 2018, VR Capital Group has become a partner of ICU in a number of projects for the construction of solar energy facilities in Ukraine and today has solar power plants with a total capacity of 538 MW. VR Capital Group manages $5 billion in funds.

VR Capital Group remains on the Ukrainian market and continues to invest in the country and at the moment, the company's portfolio of assets exceeds $1 billion.
