Another Military Aid Package from Canada

Munitions and missiles, and expansion of the UNIFIER program

On May 28, during the 12th Ramstein meeting, Canadian Defense Minister Anita Anand announced the preparation of the following package of strategic assistance for Ukraine. In particular, the provision of additional ammunition (probably 155 mm) and the participation of other Canadian military instructors in a military education and training program for Ukrainians. According to the minister, 5 new tactical medicine instructors will go to Poland to join the 7 instructors already there.

In tandem with Latvia, Canada will expand the UNIFIER educational platform: from May 15, field commanders will also begin military training at the training grounds of third countries. Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian attack, instructors and specialists from Canada have trained 2,400 Ukrainian soldiers, and from 2015 - from 36,000. We remind you that the Russian war against Ukraine began in 2014: the annexation of Crimea and the occupation of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

Minister Anand announced that 43 AIM-9 air-to-air missiles are being prepared for Ukraine, which will become a massive means of protecting Ukraine from Russian rocket attacks. It is expected that in the coming weeks, a large consignment of small arms will go to Ukraine: machine guns, machine guns, magazines, a million rounds of 5.56 mm rounds and 4,800 assault rifles.

In addition, do not forget that Canadian military transport aircraft deliver military assistance from Canada and other allied states. Thus, since the beginning of a full-scale war, more than 4,000 military cargo has been delivered by Canadian forces.
