On January 30, the Australia-France summit took place in Paris, which finally buried the war hatchet between the 2 states after the scandal over the contract for the manufacture of submarines. During the summit, the parties agreed to strengthen the defence capability of Ukraine and unite for the joint supply of 155-mm calibre shells since they are the most in demand on the battlefield. The Ukrainian army uses thousands of shells daily to defend its territories and population.
Earlier, France gave Ukraine 18 Caesar howitzers and plans to send 6 more. At the same time, the sorest point is precisely the lack of shells, which these 2 states plan to compensate with the help of "new cooperation between the defence industry of Australia and France."
