Since 24 February, the unrecognized president of Belarus has declared that his country is not involved in the war against Ukraine. However, more than 600 missiles were fired against the territory of Ukraine from Belarus. Oleksandr Lukashenko, who came to power in Belarus a few years ago by force, claims to have conducted military exercises. Its troops and military equipment are on the border with Ukraine. Military exercises are held immediately near two Ukrainian regions.
It should be recalled that since February Belarus has also held military exercises with the Russian Federation at the eastern borders of Ukraine and declared that there is no threat of invasion of a foreign country.
On 22 May, the general staff of the Ukrainian armed forces published information according to which Belarusian soldiers had installed electronic radio surveillance systems on the borders with Ukraine. Also, the neighboring country of Ukraine continues to build up military forces in the border areas.
All three months the Republic of Belarus allows Russia to deploy military equipment on its territory and creates a threat of missile strikes on Ukraine. It was from the territory of the republic that missiles were fired, which destroyed several Ukrainian cities at once. For example, on 1 April, missiles were launched from the Belarusian border every 10 minutes.
Following the example of Russia, the secretary of state of the Belarusian security council points to the threat from the Ukrainian side. According to him, Ukrainian reconnaissance and sabotage groups enter the territory of Belarus.
