The Ministry of the infrastructure of Ukraine is authorized to build, reconstruct, repair, and maintain road checkpoints across the state border.
Thus, now the Ministry of the infrastructure of Ukraine, as a relevant body, will deal with the development of infrastructure at checkpoints across the state border, regardless of the mode of transport.
"This decision adds border infrastructure to Big Construction's presidential project, namely international road checkpoints. In particular, Yagodyn – Dorogusk, Uzhhorod – Vyshne-Nemetske, and Chop – Zakhon. Our flagship project: modernization and development of Yagodyn – Dorogusk route. It accounts for 40% of all road haulage in Ukraine. Let me remind you that the modernization of checkpoints and the increase of their capacity are part of Ukraine’s commitments within the framework of agreements with our western neighbors, particularly Poland. Our team has the relevant managerial experience to adjust the modernization processes of road checkpoints, create a comfortable space for users and finally solve the critical problem of queues at the Ukrainian border," said the minister of infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov.
