The British politician said on the BBC radio that helping Ukraine in the war with Russia is a matter of principle for him. Recall that Boris Johnson has already several times since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, came to Kyiv. Britain is one of the most supportive countries in the humanitarian, political, and military spheres. The prime minister of the United Kingdom claims that this assistance will continue until a democratic country wins. In support of his words, the politician invoked the only reason for refusing to help Ukraine — his resignation. A BBS journalist was able to figure out why Johnson might resign.
"If I were told that we had to give up the Ukrainian cause because it was becoming too complicated and the cost of supporting these people is too high in terms of inflation, economic damage, I would admit that I lost a very important dispute, and I would walk away," answered Johnson.
However, the British politician noted that such a development is unlikely. He noted that so far there are no preconditions for stopping aid to the country facing the big world aggressor of the Russian Federation.
Britain is also urging the West to stop talking about any concessions to Putin and the capitulation of Kyiv, as this will lead to an economic crisis in the world and the prosperity of aggression by dictator countries.
