Brazilian President Goes to China

President who considers Crimea a bargaining chip plans talks on Ukraine with Xi Jinping

On April 14, Brazilian president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva plans to arrive in Beijing for talks with Xi Jinping about Ukraine. We remind you that on April 6, Lula da Silva said that "Zelenskyy also cannot want everything… The world needs peace…" and offered to give Crimea to Russia. The president also proposed a so far unclear plan for Brazil's international mediation between Ukraine and Russia.

During a visit to Beijing, Lula da Silva want to demonstrate this plan to the head of China and said in advance that he was "confident" of success. The president also hopes for the support of other countries in the implementation of this plan after the return of the head of Brazil from China.

On March 20-22, Xi Jinping made a diplomatic visit to Moscow, and Lavrov is scheduled to visit Brazil on April 17.
