In May 2023, Ukraine presented Bring Kids Back UA — a plan for the return of the children who were kidnapped by Russia during the war. The project concerns both the return of Ukrainian children from the occupied territories and from the camps and families in the Russian Federation, where thousands of children were forcibly transferred.
Recently, the German stylist Frank Wilde recalled an important problem performed by the Russian Federation in Ukraine. He noted that the invaders kidnapped about 20.000 children. Wilde urged to sign a petition appealing to the German authorities. The petition refers to the assistance from Berlin to return children to Ukraine. Frank noted that it is essential to establish justice, punish those responsible and ensure the safety of children.
Mariam Lambert, a volunteer from the Netherlands, also called on compatriots to help draw the world's attention to the abduction of children from Ukraine. The founder of the Dutch charitable Orphans Feeding Foundation was able to find assistance from around the world for Ukraine. Thus, the Armed Forces of Ukraine received night vision devices, cars, medicines, Starlinks, and drones from Lambert. It also gave Ukraine over 67.000 antidotes against chemical attacks and 24 tons of winter clothes.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia in Ukraine and the abduction of children, Kyiv managed to return a little less than 400 children. In September, 20 children were returned home.
