Britain Transfers 2 Anti-Missile Ships to Ukraine

Ukrainian military personnel are already undergoing training on these ships

Ambassador of Ukraine to Great Britain Vadym Prystaiko reported that before the start of the war, the state was preparing 2 specialized ships from the balance of the Royal Navy for transfer to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Currently, the departments of the two countries are developing a plan for the transfer of ships: the task is complicated by the Russian blockade of the Black sea.

"2 ships are already ready to be handed over to Ukraine, and we are currently having a conversation, we will need, given the situation in the Black sea, more ships. Now, at this moment, we are talking about ships engaged in demining," Vadym Prystaiko.

The ambassador said that the Ukrainian military in Britain is currently undergoing training in various areas: ground forces, air fleet and naval forces.

"Lately, when we talk about helping Britain, we mean either what has already happened or what will happen in the near future — this is a real help. Our crews are trained alongside their British counterparts. I saw, when I was on the ship, how our sailors next to sailors, officers on the bridge next to officers, commanding, training, commanding. Everything looks like it will be ready for combat use, I believe, in a couple of weeks," the ambassador added.

We remind you that Britain is actively engaged in training the Ukrainian military. Boris Johnson proposed a military upgrade program that would see 10.000 Ukrainians train with the Royal Armed Forces every 120 days.
