Chernivtsi region is opening an official representation in Brussels inside the European Committee of the Regions. The office is intended to give Bukovyna direct contact with European institutions and partners while presenting regional projects to investors and grant programs.
A platform financed by the European side
Bukovyna becomes the sixth Ukrainian region with such a presence. The European side provides and equips the office, so establishment and maintenance do not create costs for the regional budget.
Priority sectors
The representation will focus on transport infrastructure, healthcare, education, culture and the wider investment potential of the region. Direct communication should help local authorities match project needs with European financing instruments and technical partners.
Ten projects before the formal launch
An official presentation with European representatives is planned for October. Before then, the region intends to prepare a portfolio of ten concrete investment and grant proposals rather than approach partners with only general development ideas.
What determines the result
The office can become useful if projects include feasibility work, budgets, land and ownership clarity, responsible institutions and measurable outcomes. For investors, a permanent regional contact in Brussels can shorten communication and due diligence, but implementation capacity in Bukovyna will remain decisive.
