In June, invest.com/investing-in-ukraine/starting-business-in-ukraine/build-an-enterprise/" rel="dofollow">enterprises in most of the sectors involved in the monthly survey were optimistic about their performance: the sectoral indices of construction, industry, and services enterprises exceeded the neutral level. At the same time, the expectations of retailers remain pessimistic for the third month in a row.
In particular, industrial enterprises improved their estimates of business activity against the backdrop of a favorable external environment: in June, the index rose to 52,5 from 50,8 in May. Service enterprises also improved their estimates of their economic performance: the sector index rose to 52,3 in June from 50,7 in May.
Construction companies have significantly improved their ratings based on their performance. In June, the sector index rose to 58,1 from 49,4 in May, the highest of any sector.
At the same time, trade enterprises are pessimistic about their performance: the sector index in June fell to 48.2 from 49.9 in May and is below neutral for the third month in a row.
Enterprises in all sectors continue to expect an increase in prices for their products and services against the backdrop of rising prices for raw materials, rising purchase prices, and supplier prices. In addition, all enterprises, except for the trade sector, do not expect an increase in the total number of employees.
