Today, from the hands of the Russian invaders, 45 soldiers were returned. Among them, 41 sergeants and private soldiers, 2 officers, and 1 member of territorial defence from Kherson. Also, from captivity was released 1 man from the Azovstal plant: he wasn't a defender of the Azovstal but a regular civilian plant' worker. Some of the persons released are seeking treatment for injuries of varying severity. Russia also gave 2 civilians of Ukraine together with the military.
"We are returning the defenders of Mariupol and Azovstal. There are wounded warriors. Also, the military from Donetsk, including Bakhmut, Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv directions," Andriy Yermak.
Also today, 2 children, who were stolen by the Russian Federation in 2022, were returned. 6-year-old Renat and his 10-year-old sister Varvara were illegally taken to the territory of Russia by the invaders after their mother, a combat medic, was taken prisoner. In October 2022, a military woman was returned to Ukraine during a large exchange of prisoners. On July 6, the family was again together on the territory of independent Ukraine.
Every citizen of Ukraine and the military is important for the country. Therefore, now there is a struggle for everyone. Today Ukraine managed to return home 49 important people.
