Delivery Details
In a social media statement, Operation UNIFIER noted:
"Following initial operation and maintenance training on the ACSV 'Wolverine' variant in Germany, the vehicles have been delivered to Ukraine. These vehicles will assist Ukraine in defending against the illegal invasion of its territory."
The message concluded with "Glory to Ukraine!"
Canada's Continued Support
Since early 2022, Canada has been a steadfast supporter of Ukraine, providing more than 8 billion Canadian dollars (approximately $5.92 billion USD) in military, financial, and humanitarian assistance.
Military Aid Provided
- NASAMS Air Defense Systems: Including associated ammunition.
- 39 Armored Combat Support Vehicles: Enhancing Ukraine's ground mobility and support capabilities.
- Anti-Tank Weapons: To strengthen defenses against armored threats.
- M777 Howitzers and Ammunition: Offering long-range artillery support.
- Leopard 2 Tanks: Canada joined the coalition supplying main battle tanks to Ukraine.
According to the Canadian Ministry of National Defense, as of June 10, 2024, Canada has allocated 4.5 billion Canadian dollars (approximately $3.26 billion USD) specifically for military assistance to Ukraine.
