Civil Votes for the Object to Restoration

Ukraine gave its citizens the opportunity to choose through "Diia" objects that deserve priority attention

In the second reading, the law on the distribution of funds of the State fund for regional development was adopted. It provides for the cultural and financial participation of communities in the restoration of settlements and facilities. This year, $54 million was allocated from the budget of Ukraine to the regional development Fund for partial financing of the restoration of objects that Ukrainians will vote for in Diia.

Currently, the state has clearly defined the regions to which funding will be directed. First, the restoration will take place only in territories fully controlled by Ukraine. To a greater extent, reconstruction will take place in the regions most affected by the Russian war: Donetsk, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Dnipro, Odesa, and Zhytomyr. The list of objects available for voting includes those related to critical and strategic infrastructure, hospitals, schools, shelters, etc.

Communities with a population of 225.000 or more full-fledged people at the time of voting will pay for reconstruction 50/50, where 50% — is the State fund for regional development, and 50% — is the community.
