Stable growth of coal reserves in thermal generation warehouses continues. Today they amount to 841.000 tons. This was announced by minister of energy of Ukraine Herman Galushchenko at a briefing on the current state of the heating season on February 10.
"Since November, 15 ships with thermal coal have arrived in Ukraine. During February-March, 8 more ships with a total coal volume of about 700.000 tons are planned to arrive,” said minister of energy Herman Galushchenko.
According to the minister, there is a tendency to reduce gas consumption. In the first week of February this year, gas extraction from underground storage facilities amounted to 350 million m³ of gas, which is twice less than in the same period last year.
