The Ministry of digital transformation of Ukraine, in collaboration with the government of Poland, created a digital residence permit in the Eurozone for Ukrainians. Refugees from Ukraine living in Poland, with an electronic document Diia.pl, have the right to stay in other EU countries for 90 days within 180 days.
"Poland informed the European Commission about an electronic document available for refugees from Ukraine – Diia.pl, as a document confirming their legal residence on the territory of Poland and allowing them to travel within the European Union, as well as cross its external borders. This is the first fully digital residence permit in the European Union," according to the website of the Polish government.
How to get a document:
- Download the mObywat app;
- Get PESEL.
Information about the owner of PESEL will be automatically sent to the other 26 EU countries and associated countries of the Schengen area.
