Foreign Affairs magazine has published a work by political scientist and professor at the University of Chicago, John Mearsheimer, in which the professor discusses the possible direct involvement of the United States in the war against Russian aggression. Possible conditions for the implementation of this plan Mearsheimer called:
- If the army of Ukraine begins to "collapse" and Russia defeats Ukraine;
- If the war is not over in 12 months.
It is also possible that the United States will decide to change the situation on the battlefield and provide its ground forces to protect Ukraine's sovereignty and the world's security.
We remind you that if the Russian invaders provoke an accident at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, this will entail casualties not only among the population of Ukraine but also among NATO member countries. This automatically violates article 5 of the NATO statute and will entail the withdrawal of the Alliance troops against Russia.
