"We want and have already begun the reconstruction of many regional airports. In addition to the reconstruction, we, as promised, this year launched flights there in cooperation with Ukrainian airlines so that people can travel for tourism, business, to different regions, such as Uzhgorod or another city could meet tourists from other countries," the deputy head noted.
In turn, the mayor of Mariupol noted that two locations for the construction of the airport are being considered. In particular, the town of Mangush or the village of Starodubivka.
"The construction of the airport will give new life to the city and the region. There is support from the state and personally from the president of Ukraine. Together we will be able to open the airport for the residents of our region, create jobs and start business development," the head of Mariupol stressed.
Among the port, Mariupol is an industrial giant. There are 7 largest metallurgical and chemical plants in Ukraine. In addition to Mariupol, airports are planned to be built in Uzhhorod, Poltava, Kherson and 7 other cities of Ukraine.
