Construction of Houses for Ukrainian Foster Families From the Front Line

International donors raised funds for Ukrainian families with children who lost their houses because of the Russian war

International donors provided Ukrainians with $5.5 million to construct new houses in the eastern part of the country. Investors and donors include governments of the United Arab Emirates and Estonia, the Australian Minderoo Foundation, companies CLT-Rezult, ROCKWOOL Ukraine and the Global Empowerment Mission under the initiative of the first lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska Childhood Address. On the 1st stage would be built inclusive houses in 8 regions of Ukraine for 80 families who raise 5-10 orphans and were forced to leave their homes because of Russia's war against Ukraine. In total, there are 1.310 large foster families in Ukraine, which, like other citizens, suffered from the actions of the invaders.

Thus, the initiative managed to raise funds for houses for the first 14 families. Projects are implemented in Kharkiv, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Zhytomyr and Transcarpathian regions. All families left homeless lived in the front-line zones: Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, Kharkiv region and others. The total area of each house will be 285.5 m². The house will take into account the wishes and needs of all children from families.
