The minister of agricultural policy and food of Ukraine, Roman Leshchenko, has signed a cooperation agreement with the chairman of the board of directors of the Special Group for Trading and Investment Mohamed Assad.
"Egypt is an important strategic partner for us in the development of such areas as food security and agro-industrial production. Any cooperation is valuable for us, and the ministry of agricultural policy is ready to provide all possible support to our new partners and develop cooperation," said Roman Leshchenko.
Both sides discussed areas of cooperation in terms of information support on land transactions and exchange of information on trade in cereals, animal feed, and fertilizers.
Mohamed Assad, chairman of the board of directors of the Special Group for Trading and Investment, noted that a new dry (grain) port is being built in Egypt with Ukrainian companies and using Ukrainian technologies. "We hope that this will not be the only project implemented by joint efforts. We are currently the center of supply of agricultural products in the East, so we strive to invest in grain and crops in Ukraine," said Mohamed Assad.
