Criminal Responsibility for War

Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan banned citizens from fighting in Ukraine

Everyone is aware of how Russia is going through the war in Ukraine, who is winning, who is bearing losses, and who is "sent to slaughter". Therefore, the Treaty on Collective Security members began to take serious measures.

The treaty was signed between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. The rulers of these countries argued for the non-involvement of their people in the war. The former member of the organization, Uzbekistan, also joined the initiative. This is reported by the information agency Anadolu.

Now citizens of these 3 countries are forbidden to sign a contract and go to war against Ukraine, even if they live in Russia. Violations of the law were punishable in each country. In Kazakhstan, participation in hostilities on the territory of foreign States carries a prison sentence of 5 to 9 years. The exception is the mercenary act. Kyrgyzstan also introduced criminal liability for participation in hostilities. Citizens of this country can be imprisoned for a period of 5 to 10 years. Confiscation of property in case of violation of the law is also provided for. The Embassy of Kyrgyzstan advises citizens who live in Russia and are encouraged to contact their country's diplomatic consul immediately. The Embassy of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation has published an official statement in which it warns compatriots not to create volunteer battalions or participate in combat operations on the territory of any foreign state. Uzbeks could be imprisoned for up to 10 years for violating an order.

Now people can feel the protection coming from their states. This will reduce the number of Turkic people in the personnel of the Russian Army, which is fighting in Ukraine. So Putin and Shoihu may soon again announce mobilization measures.
