A new financial leasing program for defense-industry enterprises is being prepared to support production capacity. The selection of authorized lessors is still in progress, but manufacturers can already prepare documents to join once the program launches.
The announced parameters include financing up to 500 million UAH with contract terms of up to five years. The base lessor fee can reach 23% annually, while enterprises are expected to pay 5% and the remaining share is compensated by the state.
The mechanism is positioned as a faster way to modernize equipment and expand output without large one-time capital expenses. For companies in the defense sector, this can reduce the barrier to scaling production during wartime demand.
In practice, the program adds another layer to existing support tools and may improve access to capital for eligible manufacturers once the lessor selection is completed.
