Denmark Joins the Reconstruction of Ukraine

During Ukraine-Denmark Partnership Steering Committee Meeting was agreed €40 mln aid package to rebuild infrastructure and protect civilians

The Danish government approved the €40.2 million aid package, aimed at restoring Ukrainian infrastructure, destroyed by the russian troops and weapons. In particular, the funds will be allocated for the repair of centralised heating, plus the purchase of boilers for the Mykolaiv region (the one which was extremely affected by flooding due to the undermining of the Kakhov dam). This became known during a meeting of the Mykolaiv-Mykolaiv Region-Denmark Partnership Steering Committee Meeting. Denmark was represented by the minister of development cooperation and global climate policy of Denmark Dan Jorgensen.

The rest of the financial assistance should be used to rebuild the important infrastructure of Ukraine and support the civil society through projects of the European Investment Bank for critical social infrastructure in Ukraine.
