Denmark Ready to Recover Ukraine: Allocated €1 Bln

The Danish government approved the 2023 aid package for Ukraine

Danish foreign minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen announced a new aid program during a visit to Ukraine. The politician took part in a joint briefing with Ukraine, Latvia, Estonia, Iceland, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden, and Finland regarding the resolution of issues related to the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The Danish minister condemned the Russian missile strikes a few days ago. Recall that the armed forces of the Russian Federation attacked Uman, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, and Dnipro. Therefore, Lars Lokke Rasmussen announced additional aid to Ukraine, which will be aimed at reconstructing cities.

Copenhagen has approved $1 billion in financial assistance. It will be used to rebuild critical human facilities. It is noted that Denmark wants to put primary efforts into reconstructing Mykolaiv. The occupiers frequently attack this city in the southern part of the country. Due to the proximity of enemy troops, it is almost impossible to shoot down missiles and other projectiles. This fact turns the city into ruins. He added that the consequences of the Kremlin’s attacks on peaceful cities in Ukraine only strengthened Denmark’s resolve. Copenhagen stands ready to continue to help rebuild Ukraine and confront the aggressor.
