Denmark Will Join the Training of Ukrainian Soldiers

On September 14, during a visit to Kyiv, Danish defence minister Morten Bodskov announced the start of AFU training in Denmark

Danish defense minister Morten Bodskov arrived in Kyiv today on a diplomatic visit. During a meeting with the minister of defence of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov, Morten Bodskov announced the deployment of military training for representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Training will take place in Denmark. I can't go into details, but Ukrainian military personnel will be trained in Denmark," Morten Bodskov.

This is not the first helping hand from Denmark. 130 experts and military instructors from Denmark are also part of the education program for soldiers at military courses in the UK, along with military instructors from Canada, the Netherlands, and New Zealand. As of today, more than 5.000 Ukrainian soldiers have been trained in these courses.

At the same time, Morten Bodskov suggested that the Ukrainians organize training in Denmark as well. The minister does not rule out that the training may last until the end of the year.

"Denmark is one of the countries where training will take place, and there are other European countries that have also started training activities," Morten Bodskov.

The minister noted that Denmark has been on the side of Ukraine since 2014 — the date of the start of Russia's aggressive attack on Ukraine. Since then, Denmark has never trained Ukrainian soldiers.
