A business visit to Britain became the final item in the tour of the head of Ukraine. Recall that Zelenskyy visited Italy, France, and Germany on the weekend. The visit to England had the same purpose as the meetings with other leaders of alliance countries. The president of Ukraine met with British prime minister Rishi Sunak to discuss martial law and continue cooperation.
The talks lasted several hours at prime minister Chequers' country residence. During this time, the politicians discussed the continuation of military support to combat the Russian aggression. Including the parties talked about fighters. Zelenskyy encourages the countries to transfer modern aircraft to increase the counter-offensive effect and protect other cities of Ukraine. Zelenskyy added that a coalition of military aircraft will be formed in Ukraine.
In turn, Sunak said that Britain will continue to provide military support. He believes that it is essential to provide Ukraine with weapons from around the world.
"This is a crucial moment in Ukraine's resistance to a terrible war of aggression they did not choose or provoke. They need the sustained support of the international community to defend against the barrage of unrelenting and indiscriminate attacks that have been their," said the British prime minister.
To avoid being unfounded, the politician announced to Zelenskyy the provision of a new aid package. In the coming months, the United Kingdom will hand over to the Ukrainian Armed Forces hundreds of missiles for air defence systems and unmanned aerial systems. It is known that there will be hundreds of new strike drones with a range of more than 200 km.
