Finding tools to assist stove-makers and other food workers have become urgent due to the global energy situation. Therefore, the government of Ukraine decided to resolve this issue, looking for an optimal solution for all parties.
Over the past year, the cost of gasoline in Europe has expanded more than fivefold. Therefore, pure gasoline costs in Ukraine have risen. Under these conditions, bread manufacturers are concerning the price to grow. In such a situation, the country must save Ukrainian bakers as well as consumers, "said the head of government Denys Shmyhal.
The government has developed several assessment tools. On December 24, they were considered. The next step is to implement the tools, which have been approved.
Some of the tools used to resolve the issue include:
- Use of assistance tools to equalize world pure gasoline prices;
- Restrictions on the mark-up of certain public and meal items.
Such steps will make it possible to stem the rise of the price for most essential goods for Ukrainians. Interviews are currently being held with representatives of social food companies. The government also notes that the purpose of all the decisions taken is not to create new agribusiness points or markets for products but to strengthen and retain existing projects.
