On March 24, deputy prime minister for innovation, development of education, science, and technology Mykhailo Fedorov announced the adoption of a resolution on the development of another Ukrainian industry. We are talking about the manufacture of unmanned vehicles that will help create an air army in Ukraine. Recall that Ukraine is creating the world's first army of drones. Therefore, the decision to start producing a large number of domestic drones will help the country speed up the process, not depend on the external market, and attract investment.
In addition, the production of Ukrainian devices will help on the front line. Combat units can destroy the equipment and personnel of the invaders. However, the Ukrainian defenders who control the drones will be safe from the point of impact. So the life of the armed forces will not be threatened.
"This decision will allow UAV manufacturers to develop more actively, scale up, reinvest profits, and compete with foreign companies. Instead of spending months on unnecessary paper and bureaucratic work – accelerated admission of UAVs to operation, their purchase and delivery to the front," Fedorov said.
The Ministry has already received proposals from Ukrainian companies and startup projects to create 75 unmanned aerial vehicles. Agreements have already been concluded with 13 manufacturers. This year, Ukraine is ready to invest about $520 million in developing this industry.
