On October 20, 2020, the government of Ukraine approved a draft mutual memorandum, opening the holders of diplomatic and service passports to abolish the need for short-term passports.
Today, Saudi Arabia and Ukraine are in the position of an asymmetric visa regime. This means that diplomats and officials were required to present visas when crossing Saudi Arabia, but the opposite side was not. Representatives of Arabia cross the Ukrainian border on the condition of staying in the country for up to 90 days without a visa.
After the entry into force of the memorandum, visits between countries can last up to 90 days within 180 days without a visa
