Drone hackathon Anti-Shahed. What is this? This is one of the directions of the Army of drones project from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ministry of digital transformation of Ukraine/the Ministry of infrastructure. The initiative was created to find solutions in developing and producing unmanned vehicles to protect Ukraine from Russian Shaheds and attack drones.
Recently, more than 200 developers, engineers and IT professionals participated in the second round of the Drone hackathon. The "jury" included specialists from the military and digital structures. As a result of the hackathon, 3 winning teams received $1 million each to refine and manufacture their drones and drones
Since September 2022, the Russian army has used more than 1.200 attack drones against Ukrainians. Since May 2023, more than 400 Russian Shaheds have flown against Ukrainians. Ukraine needs a counter-army, and the engineering teams of the Drone hackathon will become its technological centre.
