This move is set to position DTEK as Ukraine's largest investor in energy storage.
According to DTEK's press service, the project aims to develop Ukraine's energy storage market and build new balancing capacities. The storage facilities are expected to be operational by September 2025 and will provide auxiliary services to NEC Ukrenergo. The installations will be located across various regions in Ukraine.
Energy storage is a strategic focus for DTEK, which has also contributed to the construction of Poland's first large-scale electricity storage system earlier this year.
