On February 14, German chancellor Olaf Scholz visited Kyiv. As part of a press conference with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Scholz announced an additional loan to support Ukraine in the current situation.
"I can assure you that we will continue to support, so I am pleased that I can today announce the imminent payment of €150 million from the current unrelated financial loan, and I can announce a new unrelated financial loan and this, by the way, in addition to Ukraine's support from EU,' Olaf Scholz.
The German chancellor also focused on the fact that Germany "stands side by side with Ukraine and supports it on the European path."
