On June 21, at a conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine, foreign minister Catherine Colonna announced the decision of Paris to allocate €40 million to restore and maintain the functioning of Ukraine's critical infrastructure. For the most part, the funds will be in the form of grants "to avoid increasing pressure on Ukraine's public finances."
"My Ministry will provide an additional €40 million in assistance to Ukraine in 2023, which will be used mainly to restore critical infrastructure and, if necessary, energy facilities," Catherine Colonna.
In January of this year, minister Colonna was in Odesa and saw the destruction that the Russian army brought to Ukrainian infrastructure.
