Europe Ukrainian Oil: Export Perspectives

In 2020, Europe bought the most products from sunflower seeds and other oilseeds grown in Ukraine

During the presentation of the fifth Agrarian Portfolio—2021, the head of the analytical export group UBTA Alexander Avramenko stressed the high popularity of products from mustard, soybeans, and sunflower seeds.

"Agrarian Portfolio - 2021" is implemented on the initiative of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine together with the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine and with the support of the Ukrainian Association of Business and Trade.

Ukraine's relations with Europe have been quite close in recent years. In addition to the cultural and political partnership, Europe also occupies an important place in the trade area and ranks first among connoisseurs of Ukrainian sunflower oil and oil products.

Earlier, European countries bought 68,8% of Ukrainian oil exports in 2020 (EU—68,1%). In second place are the countries of the Middle East, which bought 17,8% of oil exports produced in Ukraine.

It is worth noting that 1,186 exporters sell Ukrainian oilseeds in the world markets, supplying products to 92 export markets.
