On July 21, in Kyiv, the 7th meeting of the Ukrainian-Chinese subcommittee on trade and economic cooperation was held with representatives of the State food safety service of Ukraine and the Main customs administration of China. The parties discussed the improvement of bilateral trade conditions and agreed on expanding the range of food products that will be exported from Ukraine to China. Specifically, it was about Ukrainian honey, flour, fish products, poultry, peas, blueberries, premixes, and so on. Today, more than 900 Ukrainian farming enterprises export their goods to China: berries, corn, dairy and grain products, poultry/fish/beef, etc.
During the meeting, the parties agreed to agree on updated conditions and re-sign the protocols by the end of 2023. Also, Ukraine and China will cooperate in veterinary and phytosanitary control.
