Breakthroughs in the domestic production of building materials are based on unique raw materials and business people, who have implemented large-scale projects, built modern factories, and provided export opportunities for Ukraine.
Ukraine exports:
- Ceramic tiles and porcelain stoneware;
- Ordinary brick, face brick, clinker, porous large-format block, hand-molded brick. Ukraine provides domestic demand and export of facing and clinker bricks;
- Concrete, reinforced concrete. Today's main point in construction is ready-mixed concrete and reinforced concrete, an incredible number of products and structures. Global technologies are rapidly developing in Ukraine since logistics limits the delivery radius;
- Precast concrete;
- Heaters. Examples of when businesses respond to domestic market failures are numerous: basalt wool — from 100% imports to exports;
- Window technologies;
- Dry mixes;
- Steel construction. Steel construction is also in trend in Ukraine, especially metal tiles of any colors, profiled flooring, light steel thin-walled structures, metal siding, euro bars, drainage systems.
Construction organizations are increasingly using building materials from Ukrainian manufacturers, which are cheaper than their foreign counterparts.
As of early November 2021, the Ukrainian construction market grew by 3.2%. The building materials market, in turn, showed an increase of 14.9% compared to the same period in 2020.
How the industries were distributed:
- The industry's leader in the growth rate was housing construction, which exceeded the last year's result by 18.4%;
- Infrastructure construction increased by 1.3%.
